Proposed By-Law change set for vote: Wednesday, May 19th

At the April Local 2 membership meeting, a group of members brought forward a proposed By-Law change.
In accordance with the By-Laws, the proposed amendment was read at the April membership meeting and therefore the proposal will be voted on by the membership at an All-Day secret ballot vote on Wednesday, May 19th.
The Proposed By-Law reads as follows:
Add to ARTICLE XI TRIALS AND APPEALS a new section, Section 6
Section 6
The Unite HERE Local 2 Secretary-Treasurer shall take all steps necessary to ensure that all identifiable strikebreakers (scabs), be brought up on charges for strikebreaking. All Strikebreakers will be afforded due process in accordance with Unite HERE Local 2 Bylaws and the International Constitution. Charges levied against strikebreakers shall be lodged no later than (60) days after the conclusion of any strike. Trial boards shall be appointed no later than forty five (45) days after charges are lodged. Trials must be convened no later than sixty (60) days after trial boards are appointed. All fines collected from each strikebreaker will be deposited into the Strike Fund. At the discretion of the Executive Board, and subject to approval from the membership, funds may be transferred from the Strike Fund to the General Fund to cover the costs of the trials.
The vote will take place outside the Local 2 Union Hall:

Polls open: Wednesday, May 19th (7 AM to 7 PM)

To be able to vote, you must be a member in good standing, with your dues paid in either March, April, or May 2021, or be laid-off due to COVID-19 in April 2020 or later.
在四月二號工會的會員會議中，一組會員提了一個章程改變的建議。
根據章程，在四月會員會議中讀出修訂建議，而建議將於5月19日星期三由會員以不記名方式投票是否通過。
建議章程如下：

二號工會秘書－財政應採取所有步驟以確保所有可識別的破壞罷工者（工賊）因破壞罷工而起訴。將給予所有破壞罷工者根據Unite HERE二號工會章程和國際工會憲章，給予給予所有破壞罷工者正當程序。對破壞罷工者之指控，應在完成任何罷工後不遲於六十（60）天提出。應在提出指控後不遲於四十五（45）天任命審判委員會。審判必須於任命審判委員會後不遲於六十（60）天舉行。所有來自每名破壞罷工者之罰款，應存入罷工基金。在常務委員會酌裁下，並經會員之批准，基金可從罷工罷工基金轉到一般基金以承擔審判之費用。
投票將於二號工會大堂外面舉行：

Propuesta de Modificación de Estatutos programado para votar: Miércoles, 19 de mayo
En la reunión de los miembros del Local 2 en abril, un grupo de miembros presentó una propuesta para modificar los Estatutos.
De acuerdo con los Estatutos, la enmienda que se propone fue leída ante la reunión de los miembros de abril y por consiguiente los miembros votarán sobre la propuesta en una votación de todo el día por voto secreto el miércoles, 19 de mayo.
La Propuesta de Estatuto dice lo siguiente:
Se agrega una nueva sección, Sección 6, al artículo xi juicios y apelaciones
Sección 6
El Secretario-Tesorero de Unite HERE Local 2 debe tomar todas las medidas necesarias para asegurar que se levanten cargos contra todos los rompehuelgas (scabs) identificables por violar huelga. Se les permitirá a todos los rompehuelgas todas las garantías procesales de acuerdo con los Estatutos de Unite HERE Local 2 y la Constitución Internacional. Se deben presentar los cargos contra los rompehuelgas a más tardar para los sesenta (60) días posteriores a la conclusión de la huelga. Se debe nombrar la junta de juicio a más tardar para los cuarenta y cinco (45) días posteriores a la presentación de cargos. Se debe convocar el juicio a más tardar para los sesenta (60) días posteriores al nombramiento de la junta de juicio. Todas las multas cobradas a cada rompehuelgas se depositarán en el Fondo de Huelgas. A discreción de la Mesa Directiva, y sujeto a la aprobación de los miembros, se pueden transferir los fondos del Fondo de Huelgas al Fondo General para cubrir los costos del juicio.

Para poder votar, debe ser miembro cumplido y constante con sus cuotas pagadas para marzo, abril, o mayo de 2021, o debe estar de baja (laid-off) debido al COVID-19 desde abril 2020 o en adelante.
